DrillWorks Workmanship Guarantee

30-Day Limited Workmanship Guarantee

DrillWorks stands behind the quality of eligible work booked and paid for directly through DrillWorks. This page explains what the guarantee covers, what it does not cover, how long coverage lasts, and how to request a correction.

Last updated: August 5, 2026

What does the guarantee cover?

This guarantee covers material defects caused by the way DrillWorks performed the agreed installation, assembly, mounting, adjustment, patching, caulking, or other eligible service.

Examples of potentially covered workmanship defects include:

  • A mounted or installed item becomes loose, shifts, or becomes materially out of level during normal use because it was installed incorrectly by DrillWorks.
  • Furniture assembled by DrillWorks separates or does not operate correctly because parts or hardware were assembled incorrectly.
  • Covered patching, caulking, fastening, adjustment, or installation work materially fails because of DrillWorks’ workmanship.
  • The completed work materially differs from the placement, configuration, or scope agreed upon before completion.

Coverage applies only to the affected workmanship and does not automatically include the replacement of customer-supplied products or materials.

What is not covered?

  • Normal wear and tear, minor cosmetic variations, or changes in personal preference.
  • Requests to change the location, design, configuration, or scope after the original work has been completed.
  • Damage caused by misuse, impact, overloading, neglect, improper care, unauthorized movement, or use outside the product manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Defects in televisions, mounts, furniture, fixtures, hardware, paint, or other products supplied by the customer or another party.
  • Manufacturer defects, missing parts, defective hardware, or product incompatibility that was not reasonably identifiable during installation.
  • Pre-existing or concealed conditions, including unsuitable framing, damaged drywall, weak substrates, structural movement, settling, vibration, moisture, leaks, pests, wiring, plumbing, or hidden wall conditions.
  • Paint, texture, finish, or color matching unless specifically included in the agreed scope.
  • Work or materials not listed in the written estimate, booking confirmation, invoice, or other agreed project scope.
  • Damage or failure caused by accidents, water intrusion, fire, building movement, natural events, or other circumstances outside DrillWorks’ reasonable control.
  • Work that has been moved, modified, repaired, or altered by the customer or another provider, to the extent that the change caused the issue or prevents DrillWorks from reasonably inspecting or correcting it.

When does the 30-day period begin?

The guarantee lasts for 30 calendar days beginning on the date the covered work is completed. The completion date may be confirmed by the invoice, booking record, payment record, or completion message.

The customer must notify DrillWorks of the suspected workmanship defect before the 30-day period expires. Reporting an issue within the guarantee period preserves the request even if the inspection or correction takes place after the 30th day.

How to report an issue

Call or text DrillWorks at (747) 337-9295. Please include:

  • Your name
  • The service address
  • The approximate completion date
  • A description of the issue
  • Clear photos or video, when available

Please allow DrillWorks a reasonable opportunity to inspect the work before it is moved, altered, or repaired by another provider.

If an installed item appears loose or unsafe, stop using it, keep people and property away from the affected area, and contact DrillWorks promptly. Take reasonable steps to prevent immediate injury or additional damage.

What happens after a request is submitted?

DrillWorks will normally acknowledge a complete guarantee request within two business days, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. After reviewing the information, DrillWorks may:

  • Request additional photos or information
  • Schedule an inspection
  • Arrange a workmanship correction
  • Determine that the issue is caused by a product defect, concealed condition, misuse, or another excluded cause

Inspection and correction appointments are subject to safe access, scheduling, and reasonable material availability.

Available remedy

If DrillWorks determines that the issue is covered, DrillWorks will, at its option:

  • Reperform the affected portion of the work
  • Make a reasonable correction to the affected workmanship

Covered corrections will be performed without an additional labor charge. DrillWorks will also provide ordinary replacement fasteners or installation hardware when reasonably necessary to correct a covered workmanship defect caused by DrillWorks.

This guarantee does not provide reimbursement for work performed by another provider unless DrillWorks approved that work in writing before it was performed, except where immediate action was reasonably necessary to prevent injury or substantial additional property damage.

Customer-supplied products and materials

DrillWorks does not manufacture televisions, mounts, furniture, fixtures, hardware, paint, or other customer-supplied products. Product defects and manufacturer warranty claims must generally be handled through the retailer or manufacturer.

However, this guarantee may apply when DrillWorks:

  • Installed the product incorrectly
  • Used an incorrect installation method
  • Failed to use agreed or reasonably appropriate installation hardware
  • Installed a product despite an incompatibility that should have been reasonably apparent during the work

Direct-booking eligibility

This voluntary guarantee applies only to eligible services booked directly with and paid directly to DrillWorks. Services booked or paid through Taskrabbit, Thumbtack, or another third-party marketplace are generally governed by that platform’s applicable terms, guarantees, and protections unless DrillWorks confirms separate coverage in writing.

Limits and other rights

This guarantee is limited to inspection and reasonable correction of covered workmanship. To the extent permitted by applicable law, it does not provide compensation for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including lost income, loss of use, temporary lodging, or replacement of unrelated property.

Claims involving direct property damage are evaluated separately based on the circumstances, available documentation, insurance coverage, and applicable law.

Nothing in this guarantee excludes responsibility or limits any consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded or limited. This voluntary guarantee is provided in addition to any non-waivable rights available under applicable law.
